Project
A livable sculpture — This apartment is inspired by the Suprematist movement founded by Kazimir Malevich, with a direct reference to his painting Black Square and Red Square. Geometric purity is translated into spatial composition, creating a minimal yet powerful interior. Designed around a central black plexiglass structure that supports the bed, the unit embodies abstract geometry in both form and concept.
Design Notes
Inspiration: Suprematism, Kazimir Malevich
Focus: symbolic central volume, clear spatial hierarchy, minimal surfaces
Materials: black plexiglass, custom wood furniture, neutral plaster finishes
Atmosphere: stark, luminous, contemplative
