This first exhibition at Palazzina Maresa presents Demolition Paradox, a photographic series by Italian documentary photographer Clara Vannucci (b. 1985- based in Italy). Shot during the building’s transformation from 2023 to 2025, the series offers an intimate visual record of its renovation, focusing on the demolition phase. Vannucci’s work – shaped by her strong narrative approach – captures the care, dedication, and research that marked the early stages of Palazzina Maresa’s transformation. Her lens reveals more than destruction: it uncovers traces of the building’s original identity, showing how Horlons more the building’s orieinal identity showing how dismantling can be an act of preservation as much as change.
